While this set looks quite nice, I agree that the price is high for what you actually get. £2 per machine gun is a bit steep especially when you consider that with DML's Gen2 sets or even normal ones with Gen2 equipment you get the MG34 and MG42 with hollowed out muzzles and seperate top covers with drums and carrying case. What would have been more useful to me, speaking personally, would have been a box of ammo boxes and drum cases. There are never enough ammo boxes in kits which always causes problems with dioramas. Especially with the inconsistency of size from different manufacturers. With Miniart releasing the sets like wine botles, beer bottles etc and now Panzerfausts in packing crates (which I need to pick a couple of boxes up) to release a box of ammo boxes would be ideal. They could even put in some rifle ammo boxes withe individual sleeves as noone does those. Maybe one for the future?

Yip. Ammo boxes ,open ammo boxes and ammo belts would be a good idea. A Lafette tripod set would be very welcome too. I've bought these items from abroad by Tahk but they are quite expensive plus postage.
