I found this at another site. By clicking these add-ins, you can fix PB's greed and all the PhotoBucket pics now show again. Check it out.
Linky.
It works on newly linked images too, you will see an attached pic that I just linked below.

Once you loaded the extension to Chrome or Firefox, you'll need to clear all your browsing cache.
This is what I see after the crhome extension:

Really happy about this .
Wonder if PB will catch on and derail it ?

Rich I haven't been able to get it to work on Android yet either, if I do find a way, I'll report back.

Simply, No. Below quote from Chrome for Android FAQ.

So let me get this straight, it is a fix for the viewer if you have the extension installed? Because I am not seeing a difference on Gino's first post.
I would be concerned with this extension added to my browser, in that it seems to be "hacking" the process but in by PB, and I would then be very concerned what else the extension may be "hacking" on my own PC.

Well, I'm not sure why I still see the "Please update your account" graphic in Gino's post, BUT by going out to the site and clicking the link for Firefox, all my old photos have reappeared and I'm able to add new ones!!
Thanks for finding and sharing this Gino!!

So the fix relies on everyone who would be viewing your posts with their Photobucket images having loaded the add-in? What does this do for people who arrive at the site without knowing about this fix, and just see a stack of 'upgrade your account' placeholders?
This isn't a fix; it's a workaround -- making everyone else install a browser add-in to view your images so you don't have to either abandon Photobucket or cave in to their demand for money.

Gino titled the post as a workaround .
Better than nothing .
BTW -- I've run all my up-to-date security software thru everything including deep scans last night and this morning so everything appears safe .

Right, that is why I said it was a workaround in my original post. I am more concerned in seeing the pictures in old posts as opposed to continuing to use PB. Once I get settled from my move, I will be changing to a new photo hosting site as well. I will not be going back to change all the PB photos in 15 years worth of posts though. If you don't want to see the pics, don't use the add-in. Its that simple.

As a work around it's better than nothing. Sure, it doesn't solve the problem for those people who log into the site, don't have the add on/patch in their browser, but it very quickly and easily allows those of us who have posted copious photos in the past and have installed the patch to "stay in business".
Until I figure out how to easily use another site, this fix works just fine for me and I appreciate someone figuring it out and Gino sharing it.

Really wish I had been using IMGUR from the beginning .

Not sure how wanting to make a buck (or a Euro for that matter) constitutes "greed" in a capitalist system. I'm not worried about folks looking at my old photos, except the ones posted here without my permission will finally be gone.
If this were my biggest worry I'd be in a good place.
Like the Germans say:
Das Geld Rockefellers und deine Probleme! (haette ich gern)

One thing to keep in mind boys -
It's probably only a matter of time before the fine folks at PB realize there is a hack out there that allows people to view pics online. As such, it's probably only a matter of time before they respond.
If there are online pics you deem critical to have access to, I'd strongly suggest you right-click, save as....

So, once you've loaded your photos to IMGUR, how do you now post them to this site?
With PB, there was a pick called "Copy" and once you selected that, all you had to do was paste the copied info into a post.

At IMGUR , right click atop the image , then left click to " copy image address " ( don't copy the address in the address bar at hte top of the page -- it needs to have that " jpg " in it )
Then just paste that inbetween the [ img ] deelies here after you remove the existing http/ whatever that's sitting in there
