Hello H-H,
I have built this RM fueltrailet about two years ago and it took me alot of work to make it presentable.
The suspension and springs were very bad and had to be replaced by some springs from an M923 truck.
My example had many airbubbles and some parts had to be replaced because they were broken.
Some parts were also wrapped.
I bought it several years ago so perhaps the quality now is better.

Good that I saked, prevents me from spending money for something crappy. Also saves me from converting a M1083 to M1088.

It's an 18 year old model. For today's standard it's not true, I'm sorry, but it's not going to be remake again. The chassis is problematic because the tank is heavy. Axes and suspensions would have to be metallic.

Have you considered doing some update sets for M1078 and M1083? The interior is pretty basic and some exterior parts are basic, too. Legend Productions correts some mistakes but not all. I collected enough references for the daring manufacturer to work with.
Here a small tweak list:
- New dashboard and seats
- Radio Rack
- M.G. ring
- Reworked spare tire retainer
- Brake cylinder
- Reworked front bumper
Cheers
Hans-Hermann
P.S. An LTAS armored cab would be ultra cool.
P.P.S. We also need cargo bed canvas cover for both M1078 and M1083. Preferably vacu-formed.

Proart used to do some interior update sets for the M1078 / M1083 although now sadly out of production, but still appear now and then on a well known auction site.
Tank Workshop do a good resin canvas for the M1078 with options for open or closed rear.

Couple issues with these resin kits.
1st the stuff he sales is wanted by some. They are kit subjects not made by anyone else. I talked to the guys over at AFV Club about talking to Real Model guy to get the rights to make these subject in plastic. These could be great saleable kits. I bought the M969 about 4 yrs ago. I was missing the spare tire on the back. I emailed him and he came back with mold it myself with one of the other wheels. They have many issues. I just bought a M813 truck and the whole chassis is crap. Like (bankmannl) said the leaf springs on my kit looked like almost solid pieces of resin. And my problem is he is the only one that makes these subjects, and I keep on giving him benefit of doubt. I bought a expand Van conversion from him 2yrs ago and the floor if you look at it from the top is curved. Good kit subjects, poor products, and bad customer service.

Yea the chassis is problematic because you can't use it to begin with out of the box.

Why are you writing these fairy tales here? They have never contacted our AFV, but some things have been used. What you write about a spare wheel claim is a beautiful fairy tale. I do not have a single email from you. We always send spare parts all over the world.
I have looked at your orders:
02/25/2013 M109 Van - deleted
03/17/2013 FMTV wheels set + Wheels set for US 5ton Truck - deleted

Where is M969??????

Okay, for what is is worth !!
I have bought several aftermarket kits from Real Model
( M969, M936, M934 and M927 LWB )
M969 already mentioned above
M936 base plate slighty wrapped, but can be fixed. One part was missing, but was sent again very quick.
M934 al major parts slightly wrapped, but should be fixed with hot water and then put some weight upon them to straighten things out.
M927 Floor badly wrapped, all other parts slightly wrapped.
Since he is the only one in town that sells these items I bought them.
Would I buy them again, sorry NO !
I did but these items several years ago, so perhaps his casting and products have become better over the years.
Let anyone decide bij themself if they want to buy his products.

P.S. I also bought the M109 Van, that came out nicely !!!!

Yes this are first models (M934, M 927) very bad. They have not been in production for many years. The M934 was completely rebuilt.

Sir not making anything up, and not trying to argue with you just stating a fact. I did purchase the M969 and I bought the M127 from you at the same time. and the items I told you about having issues is true.
