Hello everyone,

I was looking for information about the release date of trumpeter T-72B2 and T-80U and I found these pages :

https://www.1999.co.jp/image/10326528

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/947424-xact-scale-models-xs-35004-t-80uk

I thought XACT was over, has anyone some information about this future kit?

This is a surprise. I thought it was dead too.
Anyway it is late. Xact kit of T-80U has always been offered at high price when it was the only one available, and the next release of the kit of Trumpeter will make this kit obsolete.

Hi;

Another thing that you mite consider, is that Maybe Just Maybe that Trumpeter Purchased Xact ! That could be one reason that the T-80 all of A sudden all but Vanished from the market. There is still A kit that can be found; But its still on the expensive side. And there (Xact) T-84 was never released. I myself only just purchased the Xact kit, and I am reluctant about cutting plastic and keeping it in A Pristine condition !

CHEERS; MIKE.

I think that those pictures where released some years ago...

i'm building the t-80u from xact at the moment, while I find it to be a great and detailed kit(the kontact 5 era, era blocks, the nsvt machinegun and brod m wading system), it does has it design flaws and inaccuracies. If trumpeter should have bought the moulds, which i doubt... I hope trumpeter reworks the barrel and the turret, which has some wrong dimensions, the tracks are rubber and they are awful.

I hope trumpeter releases a t-80uk and a pakistani t-80ud, which is a t-80ud with a welded t-84 turret

Honestly, when I first saw the XACT T-80U I wanted it, but I was 3 years too late ...

So for now, according to scale model T-80UK should be release this year... so what

Problem is, as discussed in a thread earlier this year, Xacts FB page hasn't been updated since December 2014 and their website hasn't changed at all. I just went to both sites before posting.

I did, but that's the problem they did no update and I found no other websites with information on the T-80UK that could be confirmed.

Trumpeter did not announce a T-80UK so this is Xact Scale's "niche" offer?
