Some of you saw the scarecrow I'd been working on. He's complete and in the vignette I'd planned for him.

The vegetation is Sea Grass from El VIejo Dragon available from Millitary Miniatures Warehouse . It comes in two compact balls in a package and you pull clumps out. I sprayed it with aerosol hair spray before attachinig it with white glue.

AJ,

The corn stock looks really convincing. How did you make those? BTW, the seeweed grass looks incredible. I have got to try it.

Thanks. First, I drew a corn leaf on a piece of paper folded over several times and cut it out, like we did as kids with figures. Each had some excess at the base to wrap around a dowel. Then, I broke 1/16 dowels to various lengths. On a couple, I sunk a tiny depression to add some Woodland Scenics long grass to show they hadn't been broken during harvest. Next, I glued the individual leaves around the dowels with white glue and folded them down the middle and at random angles. I airbrushed the stalks MM Middlestone and drybrushed with an off white. They are glued into holes in the Celluclay base.
