Always good to see this type of material out there, especially in light of the sad fact that within the former Soviet Union these contributions of the West are either downplayed or ignored altogether. When the Soviets were on the ropes and had little the West stepped in and kept them from falling, but that was a political embarrassment to admit so they chose to downplay that aspect of the Allies' final victory.

Very true, but it worked the other way as well - growing up in the US, I don't know how many times I heard/read that the ONLY things that saved the Soviets in the war were the winter and Lend-Lease, which is also a gross distortion. Blame Cold War politics for both of these extreme positions.
