Hello fellow Model builders.

After my A7V, i wanna show you guys my next WW1 Tank. This is the Mark A "Whippet" from Meng. A really nice kit and i would recommend everyone to get this and build it yourself. I had a lot of fun with it and will for sure build it again.

I m a relatively new Model builder, so with each new project i try out new techniques. On this project i tried out Filters for the very first time. Not to to heavy, for now just the top hatch and the two on the engine deck.
I also had a new approach on applying Pigments to my Vehicles. For that i first have to explain how i did it before! My usually approach looked like that:
Apply a wash to the area and just "smear" the Pigments on it, until i almost lost all detail on the part!! This method only took me about n hour each time

On this Vehicle i really took my time and i think the end product shows it. The step of applying the Pigments took me almost 4 days (a couple hours each day). Applying Pigments and rubbing some of it down, applying more Pigments and rubbing it down again, and so on. Really love the result.

Long story short... here are the pictures:

cheers

Nice work David, I also enjoy trying new techniques on my builds, adding those new ones on top of the others. Each build is a new learning experience.

David, your patience in applying pigments yielded nice results. Keep on building and exploring - it's the only way!
