Iam working on a Guntruck called the "Rebel" and I wanted to have to flags on it. One of the U.S. flag and a confederate flag. My question is how do i make them or where can i get them?

To make them I have seen great work done using aluminum foil as the 'material' . It is very thin and can be wrinkled convincingly. It will also 'stand' or 'wave' if so desired.

Another method I've seen is to use the 'tissue paper tarp' method for the flag. This one I've only seen as an air recognition flag drapped over the back of an AFV.

Scott, I have just received a set of Archer Flags and will try to do something with them this weekend... I must admit I wouldn't use aluminum foil, cause it crumples easily and will not "wave" in the manner I'd like. I think lead foil would do the job better... We have had this disscussion before here on Armorama and I suggest it for those interested in this topic.

BTW, the flag I received yesterday looks great! I just hope I'll make the best of it...

Like Mario says, I've heard of lead foil being used, though I have never tried it myself. If the flag isn't too large, you could try the lead foil wrapped around wine bottles.

Try the lead foil that is used around the top of wine or champagne bottles. (not the modern plastic foil that many bottles have these days). I used the stuff for flags, belts and lots of other applications. Works great.
That's pretty thin and folds like a real flag. It does need a proper primer spray before you can paint or decal it. To glue, use CA superglue.

One of my personal favourite recepies is: 50% Milliput + 50% Duro. (both pre-mixed into 50/50 batches) This gives you the supple but rigid qualities of the duro, while maintaining the souplesse of the Milliput.

If you can't be bothered to shape the foil then try tissue lightly soaked in water then place it where you want.Let it set then cover with a thin mix of white glue! Personally i prefer the Lead foil but hey ho whatever you want!
