Trumpeter has 13 different versions including BMP-1, -2, and -3. I don't know if they have a working suspension. The suspension arms are separate parts but you may need to put in some work if you want to position the suspension for anything else than flat ground.
They are the most modern of the available kits and the only realistic alternative.
Dragon made the first ones in the 1990'ies, don't think they are available anymore but don't buy one even if you could find one.
Zvezda makes one but it could be the old Dragon molds, stay away from it.

Do you have some proof about the use of BMP3 in Syria (Russian or Syrian forces)??
The BMP1/2/3 serie from Trumpeter are all very good kits!

Hi;
There are No kit's of either the BMP-2/3 that have working suspension's !! Altho its really easy to Articulate the suspension for uneven ground, you just need extra track lengths ! The only Good kit's are Trumpeter's ! BMP-2 or 3 !! The BMP-1 is also A good kit.
CHEERS; MIKE.

Why would you need extra track? The real vehicle's tracks stay the same length regardless of the terrain.

Indeed, but it usually requires adjusting more roadwheels than just the one that is climbing over a rock or something.
Sometimes the first and last roadwheels will get pulled up to provide the extra half a link needed in the middle. It's a bit easier when the track is hanging loose on the upside (Panther, Tiger, T-34 et.c).
Getting it really correct requires good photos or knowledge about the 1:1 vehicle.

I have yet to see any BMP-3's in Syria. Plenty of 1's and 2's tho.

Hi;
The limitation's on scale model's to accurate the suspension is very hard without A extra length of track. An added link adds the necessary extra length of stretching the track. I have over the years built A few on bases with uneven ground and its hard to make it look accurate !

Trumpeter is best for a BMP-2.Those old DML/Dragon/Zvezda are very inaccurate.Anyway the only location in the Mideast that is using BMP-3s in combat right now is the UAE where there are fighting in Yemen.

You're right Kurt but don't forget that the tracks tension system is not working on a kit like on the real vehicle.
