Hi Gang, Just bought this kit off E-Bay and was wondering if Uncle Sam used this in its Ford incarnation ?. I have google it and found only Wermacht pictures of it in service but I want to do one being used as a utility vehicle on a U.S. airbase.

Which version did you get? It appears Uncle Sam's version did not have the vents in the forward part of the hood. Others will be more expert on this question than I.
Can you show a photo of the box art?

I believe that the allied equivalent of the Ford V3000 was the Ford 01T 3Ton 4x2 GS :
....but I'm not sure it was used by the US Army/US Air Force (haven't found it in the Crismon's book...)

Ford 01T 3Ton 4x2 GS was used by British, possibly also Canadian forces. The US had other trucks, mostly other than Ford.
Fred Crismon mentions one Ford, G8T if I remember correctly but that images shows another front and lower grille.
Supposed to be a G8T

Note that the circles where the head lights are supposed to be mounted in the civilian truck are still covered by metal.
The pressed steel bypassed the press which punched out these holes.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. I`m sorry Micheal, I don't know how to post pictures on the site but I can tell you that its Revell kit no. 03234.
It seems that there weren't that many differences between Axis and Allied versions.
