Anyone use the model air version to paint a Sherman?
Were you happy with the color?
Thanks.

I have experimented with it on a M4 High Speed Tractor it sprayed well, according to an article written by Steve Zalago on Olive Drab it is meant to be close to the real thing, though personally I use model air US. Dark Green and mix yellow ocher for highlight layers

Thanks. Its my first tank and I just like not having to mix colors to get a good result.

I've used the Vallejo Olive Drab Surface Primer....its a great color. I've done a couple of Shermans with it, and have been asked by admirers what color I used. As far as their Model Air OD, no, haven't used that...

Yes, I've used it and was extremely pleased with the way it airbrushed and the finish.

Actually Tamiya or as of late Lifecolor paint is pretty darn good.

Hello
The ModelAir reference by Vallejo 71043 is a good match for WW2 Olive drab shade FS34087, and the 71016 for the USAF tone OD FS 34088. Hope this can help you.
Best regards

I prefer the Vallejo Model Color version. It's darker, more brownish and not as green. I thin it a lot, though, with Vallejo thinner before I spray it.
