As you see in the following page of Nuts & bolts volume 34 Sd.kfz. 7, there are two kind
of radiator masks, the Kraus Maffei (top) and Borgward (below), the Borwgard one has bevelled
sides but not the KM that are straights.
The Dragon kits 6466, 6533 and 6553 all have the bevelled radiator mask but with
the Krauss Maffei logo, is this a mistake of Dragon or I have missed some data?

I have this two period photos where is evident the beveled radiator mask.
That prove that the Borgward museum example is correct.

Excellent pic, now I would like to see a pic of a "7" during the
war with this radiator mask and logo combination.
Your pic helped but I canīt take it like definitive, you know, the restorations not always are fine and in this case, who knows.
In any case, great pic, thanks.

Maybe this one (but it's not very obvious )

My tired old eyes can't determine if this one has the beveled top or not:

That one appears to be an un-bevelled example.

There is no bevel there, either.

I agree.

Based on what I see in the photos, there is mixing going on, so I would not take the Nuts & Bolts photos as gospel.

I personally will not lose sleep over Dragon's design choice.

That seems like a good plan

One option is to remove the emblem (on the straight ones).
Maybe the beve was an earlier design and later it was made straight for some reason and after a while they skipped the emblems as well?

No bevel together with the Borgward emblem
My guess is that the bevel is unrelated to the manufacturers emblem

Robin I see (maybe I am wrong) a subtle shadow where there should be the
Krauss Maffei logo, maybe it was missing.
As you said, yes it was rationalised but from 1943, and this one is a pre 1943 example.

If you see carefully, I post two examples of time photos where the Borgward logo is evident with the beveled radiator mask.

Brekinapez Borgward made two kind of radiator mask with their logo, beveled and straight.
I would like to see a time photo evidence of a Krauss Maffei logo in a beveled radiator mask.
The only evidence is the pic that Frenchie posted with the Sd.kfz restored but itīs a restoration.
In the restaured machines there would be many errors.

That would speed up manufacture of the front piece if they didn't have to worry about a bevel, or a badge for that matter. Remember how they stripped down the late Pz IV's to get them out on the fields quicker? Who gives a crap about a bevel when you need to haul guys to the front.
