While some scenes in 'Patton' were shot in N Africa, according to IMDB the African locations were Algeria and Morocco. I'd therefore be wary of taking that as a primary source for evidence of anything in the area where the DAK actually operated.

Fantastic finale Tom – you have the knack of leading the eye round and around & each time something new seems to materialise. Great set-design/stage management/figure interaction, busy yet somehow not overcrowded - a fine balance. I’d only whisper the vehicles look a tad too clean but hey maybe they just came off the boat at Tripoli! Worth photographing in bright sunshine (especially those perfect low-down/ground-level angles)...when you next get some

Very well done scene, Tom! I'm impressed at how you get all those figures involved in the action. Even though they're doing different things, the overall scene gives a sense of working towards a common goal.

Thanks a lot guys.
The photos don't show much dirt on the anything.Won't get good outside pics now till spring, getting a couple of inches of snow right now.
I'm a sucker for punishment. Not good at painting figures, but seem to like adding them. The one thing I strive for is for them to interact and make sense.
Still have Egypt ready to go,but have been caught up on a dock scene I've been working on.
If you see "Dockside" in the posts,it's me AGAIN.
All the best to all for the New Year and hope Santa fills your stash list.

Thanks Jerry,
It would take you 5 years because of your great detail work.
Wish I had your talent for figures.

Congrats Tom, nice job!
I enjoy the sheer amount of items (figures, vehicles, etc) you've pulled together. All framed by the ancient columns.
Sort of a desert rendezvous.
Cheers
