I've looked a number of times on eBay and checked hobby stores on line. Nothing. Is that kit such a hot seller or is Meng not supplying it?

I believe that kit is discontinued. You do see them occasionally on eBay, at a price. The ZPU-2 version is more common. You'd need to get hold of that kit or the pickup 2-pack and add the Trumpeter ZSU or the ZSU from the Meng gun set. I surmise that their thinking is that by releasing the 2 pickups together and the AA guns set it allows people to mix and match more easily.

I just wish they'd also done different versions of the pickups: single cab HiLux/Tundra and double-cab J79

You could get the Russian AA gun set. It comes with 4 different types of AA guns. Then you could get the pickup set.
