I'm trying to sort through the various Toyota pickups that Meng makes by model and year, but even using Wikipedia doesn't seem to clear up the confusion. Anybody have definite knowledge?

The crew cab is basically a late '90s Hilux and the other is a mid-late '80s Land Cruiser HJ-75.

Terry Ashley over at Perth Military Miniatures says:
'The kit appears to be a good match for the 1990 Toyota HZJ75P 2-door Pick-up but I’m no civilian vehicle expert so stand to be corrected on that.'
and
'While I’m no Toyota expert and stand to be corrected here the model matches available images and data of the 1997 HiLux quite well although details of production types can vary between countries.'
Mine turned out pretty well with a little help from Live Resin

I came across something on Shapeways the other day that some might find of interest. A Shapeways seller named Hamann Studios is selling a tailgate that is made to fit the Land cruiser pickup that has Toyota embossed on it. I just received one and it came out really nice

A bit off topic. I spotted this up coming New Vanguard series soft cover release from Osprey for April 2018 next year. Technicals: Non-Standard Tactical Vehicles from Toyota to Modern Special Forces.
