I'm wondering if this could be altered to resemble a syrian version...what would need to be altered externally...anyone know?

Hi;
Other than A lot of damage, you would to have to install the ERA on the side skirts; There are other Mks; of the T-72 that can be seen. Any of the U-tube videos are A good source of reference on A specific type.
