Hi all
Just doing a bit of work on my Tamiya ChallyI & am curious about the 'colour' of the glass in the vision blocks. I've done a general web search & a more detailed search here & have come up with 2 concepts: a greenish-blue & the more recent IR 'reddish' tint. Which would be more correct for this tank? Did the glass change through upgrades before the intro of ths ChallyII? FWIW I'm doing an IFOR wagon from Op Resolute in '96
TIA

I would go with a silver base and then 3 or 4 coats of see through green.
The pinkish tint is only on CR2 due to the laser protection that CR1 hasnt got.
Hope that helps,
Jacko

Here's a zoom in of a photo of the commanders station. It's from Bovington.

Thanks lads. I didn't think the reddish tint was correct. Much appreciated

I seldom get a chance to boast about this but I have a vision block from a Tiger 1 at home and the glass is a greenish-blue colour. Not sure if this is the same for the tank you're modeling though.
