Another model to hide from my wife

Well this looks like a nice kit and I will be getting 2 or more. Where is the M992 they are making.

Very nice, hard to choose between other M3A3 kits as all models are very detailled.

Im not a big fan of the Bradley but, I would purchase this kit.

Nice to see an update for a specific variant.

M3A3 is a latest version of Bradley CAVALRY Fighting Vehicle, not Infantry, as stated in the article. And this is old very so-so Orochi kit with several improvements done by Kinetic (based on my suggestions) and new tracks.

I wonder if it could build without the BUSK? Releasing the T-161 track separatly would be great.

I think it can. On the Orochi kit none of the BUSK mounting parts were moulded onto the basic armour so it was just a question of leaving these parts off. The only issue was that the glacis armour had a series of small holes for mounting the frontal reactive armour. However, these seem to correspond to bolt positions on the real thing and Orochi included some bolt heads on the sprue that could be cut off and glued over these.

As Vodnik says, this is the Orochi kit that Kinetic has updated, with his and others (my) inputs.




It can be built w/out the ERA, but you will still have to add back the bolts on the front glacis plate, fill four holes on the front side armor panels, and modify the headlight mounting plates, as I did when I built the Orochi kit.



I discussed how to make the modifications in my build review of the Orochi kit.

It is more accurate not to use the ERA blocks if you are going to use the T161 tracks. The T161 tracks are a new feature that has been fielded on Bradleys in the last couple of years. The ERA blocks are only added in combat and were last used in Iraq in about 2010. If you want to use the ERA, it would be more accurate to replace the tracks with a set of the older single square-block "Bigfoot" tracks.



This issue was discussed w/Kinetic, but due to the way the original Orochi kit was molded, they could not add the bolts back to the updated version.

Can't wait to get my hands on this one. Always liked the Bradley

Thank you God for that. I helped out at Ft. Sill in the 1990's to help with the interior design of the interior. Not sure they really used a lot of our input (bunch of 13F's pulled down to Sill) but it was a good week.
