Hi Melner,

Welcome to the site.

Depending on where your J.P. is in "late war", a lot of fighhting took place near conifer forests. Air Ferns are easy to come by and their leaves look a lot like 1/35 pine/spruce/fur boughs. They also heaped grass on tanks. You can find a lot of scale foliage here (and elsewhere): http://www.sceneryexpress.com/SuperTrees/departments/1006/

NOCH makes a lot of scenery items: https://railroadmodeling.kitmaker.net/review/8780

I just can't engage brain and think of other items although there are many products available today.

I went to Hobby Lobby and found some "Woodland Scenics" model railroad foliage . It is quite fragile but you get a large amount for not much money. It looks good when you place it on the vehicle.

Melner -

JPRTT and AgentG (great looking Pz III) gave you some great suggestions. I've found that the local 'Craft' stores like "Hobby Lobby", or "Michael's" (which is what we have here) are the best places with a great selection of foliage. I really like the "Woodland Scenics" also, and stay away from the old lichen material as it looks fake and dries out. I've also found that the Pet Shops with aquarium, terrarium, etc. supplies are also a good source. Best place for branches to put the Woodland Scenics on is my own yard. Nothing beats the real thing...lol. Look forward to seeing some of your builds. Might want to try one of the Armorama Campaigns. Sounds like your JagdPanther would be a good one for the "Big Cats V" Campaign. Welcome and enjoy your time here.

Melner -

Here's a King Tiger (Porsche) that I just finished this weekend. I used my yard for log and "Woodland Scenics" for foliage. Got it at local Hobby Shop. Anxious to see how yours comes out.

It also depends on how much time and effort you want to put into the foliage. You can go many routes. There are new punches available from Green Stuff that let you make leaves from about 4 different trees, using real leaves to use as the "punched" material or paper that is painted by yourself. These leaves are then added to small roots from the garden or forest. Or there are lazer cut paper leaves from various companies. Also brass photo-etched leaf sets already on branches or vines

Do yourself a favor, and go to forest
If you know where to look, you can stock up with life worth stock of Thuidium tamariscinum. Depending on exact species of Thuidium plant, it comes in variety of sizes, and perfectly imitates spruce branches, which is great for camouflaging the vehicles. After drying, you might have to paint it tho.
