Hello, just a question. I am building the Asuka M4 sherman Fay, but I have damaged the turret and hull, so I need to replace them. My local hobby shop does not have the Fay, but it does have the M4a2 Romilly. Can I use the turret and hull from the Romilly on the Fay with it still being accurate for an American M4 in Normandy. Also, why doe's the Asuka spare sherman parts site list almost everything as sold out?

look here to order the original parts by sprue...cheap. Hopefully they have your part. You'll need to do some research but you can buy the sprues.

Hey Paul, You should be able to get replacement parts fairly easy from Asuka at a decent price. I haven't done it but know guys that have.

However, if you only want to use hull and turret from M4A2 kit, you are out of luck. The lower rear hull is also different and would be a waste to cannibalize. I would just build that one as the M4A2.

The basic upper hull and turret in the M4 kit is the same as in the M4A2. The lower hull and the engine deck are different.

What did you damage? If you damaged the engine deck then the M4A2 kit will not help you.

Spare part from Asuka come and go depending on what kits are being molded and what spares they have. Right now they have the basic hull and turret 35018-HH (M4 and M4A2) for 5.00 plus shipping. Most of the turret parts are on 35010-J and 35009-C, but are for the early turrets. The sprues for the hull fittings and the later turret are sold out.
