Gentlemen,no need to argue.
I've used Tamiya Quick Setting glue to bond the bonnet to the grille.
TQS is known to quite aggresivly melt the plastic.
It was my second attempt to glue those parts together, so obviously I applied a bit more pressure while applying a bit more glue
I'll have some rust and weathering on, so the "Spachtelmasse" will not be visible-Robin, thanks for pointing that out.
And LKWMAN-thanks for proving that the concept "there is something wrong with the grille of ICM's ZIL-131" is totally wrong.I read about it and I tried to find the errors-in vain...
Here is a picture of the status of my build on Monday.

Hello Angel Yovtchev
We can barely change the models with their mistakes, we have to make the most of them. I think you have built a very nice and interesting model. Do you have more models ZIL-131 planned?

hello John
Since you think completely wrong, I run a truck workshop every day. Model making is one of my hobbies. My other are original Russian vehicles and tanks.
To your problem Robin, look at the original photos, how the bonnet sits there, before you criticize. For this we set the photos of original vehicles so you can see what it was like in the original. If you need more photos of the original, I can show you more photos, currently have a ZIL-131 in the workshop. The model maker has done a good job.
Best regards LKW MAN
I kind of figured your modeling prowess is a direct result of actual contact with some/all of these vehicles. Well done sir!!

Thanks LKWMAN!
While not exactly ZIL-131...
3 weeks ago- while taking refference pictures of Arado Ar 196 in AF Museum in Plovdiv for a fellow member of Armorama, I came across an ZIL-130 based SKP-9MB:

I plan to build it and am currently collecting data.

Superb result,LKWMAN!
What will come next?
With regard to SKP-9MB, I intend to use Custom Factory's resin kit.The other option is ICM's ZIL-131 with a bunch of resin conversions from Armor 35,but still, and as far as I see it,the rear axle and suspension are not covered,so they must be scratched...

Thank you, Angel Yovtchev. Nice, that you like the model. Your question I can only answer so that two more models are planned. It is a workshop vehicle for tanks with round box body and a tractor for Semi Trailer. At the moment the building has not started yet, but first has to finish other projects. One question, do you already own the kit ZIL-130? If so, what is the condition of the parts? Are all parts in the kit available? I'm looking forward to your answer. I wish you every success in construction.
Before I continue here with ZIL-131, I introduce in the next post the vehicle AT-T by the company Trumpeter.

Not yet,LKWMAN, but I have one in the watchlist.
When I buy it,I'll do an OOB and build review.
Might even build it within the Resin II campaign, that I happen to lead.
Will look forward to your next entries into this wonderful thread.
I guess your tank repair vehicle will be different from the ZIL-131 MTO already issued by ICM?
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the sunny greetings. You're right, this model will once again be different from the ICM model. The box body is completely different. Will show photos of the original.

Today another model ZIL-131. This is the ZIL-131V, this time I decided to buy a kit from Bronco. The differences to ICM are very big. Here is a picture of the kit.

I'm a big fan of Bronco's attention to detail and abundance of tiny parts

Therefor will follow once again with interest!
I'm curious what will be on the trailer,

Thank you for your interest in this kit. ayovtshev, I waited for this question. The decision for the trailer was not easy for me. It will become a field bakery, zavod in the Russian Cleb. The trailer is AXB 60091 is also used in the missile units. Here are some photos. Construction on the model has already begun, will soon show photos.
Best regards LKWMAN

When you finish your builds, do you hold on to them? I would consider donating them to museums, or at least to the makers of the real vehicle for display in their lobby! Your work is remarkable and demand a proper, and public, display!

Great builds! As you now have built ICM and Bronco kits, which do you think is better (details, fit, accuracy)?

Hello Thomas
For conversions to the model, the ICM kit is much better suited. First, the price is much lower than the price of a Bronco kit. The assembly of the ICM kit is progressing much faster than bronco, so that one can concentrate more on the conversions on the model. The accuracy of fit at Bronco is very good. The diversity of the parts is hard to handle. Pivot it out.
Best wishes from Sachsen LKWMAN
