Advise please...
The Bedford QL is a favourite of mine and wondered if anyone knows if any manufacturers do it....any body type in 1/72nd or 1/35th injection or resin?
And if there is a choice which are the better ones?
Thanks
Cheers
Peter

go to the Italeri bedford thread in this forum for some info. Italeri do the gun portee without the 6lb gun, revell has done it also with the gun. It is the soft top version but conversion kits for it are availiable from resicast and I think Accurate Armor do a cargo version in resin. Also 1 of the eastern europe companies does a radio truck conversion kit for it too.
hope this helps

Thanks Cliff...
I thought you'd be the first somehow... :-)
Great advise as usual... thanks again.
Now to do a bit of on-line shopping and prising the old wallet open.
Cheers

Hi all,
Further to what Cliff has mentioned, the Portee kit has been released under several banners, the kit has its origins in the Peerless / Max range and is excellent for its age, and has been released by several others notably :
Airfix - Portee with 6 pdr (comes up on Ebay regularly)
Italeri - Portee with 6 pdr & on its own (theres one on Ebay now in fact)
Revell - Portee with 6 pdr (still available in some shops but not in the present range)
The kit represents the soft cab Portee version and were predominantly used in North Africa, many were converted to GS versions for use in later campaigns.
Accurate Armour do a hard cab top conversion, and Airfix Mag did a conversion article many years ago on building the GS body, I have scanned this for somebody and can supply a copy if you want, (just PM me your e-mail address).
Its a great kit for its time (as were most of the Peerless kits)
Happy modelling
Ant

Peter try Resicast. I know they are expensive but I think they do a full kit as well
http://www.resicast.com/catalogue.html
I just looked they have 3 full kits and the cab and wheel conversion set
