Do not see why they would not also do the gantry in 1/35th scale????

Scaling up the resin parts I admit, is a chore but scaling up the etch is just a matter of changing the % of enlargement on the camera and burning a different sized acid resist.

The crane was of tubular and girder construction, so to use PE on anything larger than 1/72 would be too thin, and wrong section shape. Even in 1/72, PE is actually too thin, but easier to build.

No news, I'm afraid. Those kits are on the market more than 10 years under the old label.

Agree with Biggles that PE isn't really going to look right even at 1/72; the stanchions do appear to be all tubular:

Are you sure this is 1/72 in any case? The Hauler site only shows 1/87 and 1/144 examples.

Really looking forward to anyone producing a good styrene version of this kit in 1/35 as I won't touch the resin version that I've seen so far. Brittle, warped & pricey!

Yes, it has been announced under 1/72 news and in fact the product code is HLP72022, their coding system uses the first two numbers for the scale.
