I'm looking for a source to obtain an AVDS-1790-2DR V12 engine other than Legend Productions. Or a kit that has included the AVDS-1790 engine.

The only AVDS in 1/35 were the Verlinden complete engine and bay resin kit, the Hobby Fan engine and sling set (no fuel tanks or other bits), and an earlier Legend kit (LF1030)

The Verlinden is okay, a little soft on details, and somewhat underscale (especially the fans). The HobbyFan is better with details, but probably a little oversized, especially the fans.

The Italeri M-47 has a representation of the upper half of a AVI 1790 and transmission.

Why not the Legend kits? The earlier version looked very much like the Verlinden, but from what I have seen, the new series (1341,1344,1347)looks like a very good kit (hope so, expect mine to be here Monday)

I've checked prices on Ebay for the Legend AVDS but, just didn't want to spend from $40.00 to $75.00 as listed from various suppliers. I might have to give up the bucks and go for it. Thanks for your reply.

Don't restrict yourself to ebay. Shop around..Hobbyeasy.com for example. The set for the AFV M60A1 is $45.15 plus maybe $7.00 in ahipping. Service is pretty good..ordered mine on the 12th, USPS says I should have it in hand on Monday, the 20th.
