Hi all.
I bought the Asuka 35018 Sherman mk iii kit and would like to build it as the HQ 24th Lancers version. I was looking for photos of any Sherman mk iii tanks of the 24th Lancers in Normandy, particularly from the HQ company?
I know there are pictures of their Firefly Vc's but I just cant seem to find any other photos?
Thanks!

24L does seem to be less well photographed than the other components of 8AB (it was replaced by 13/18H in late July when 27AB was disbanded) but you should be able to work out what the markings would be using general practice and the photos of other 24L vehicles.
White 995 on red with white bar below, combined with 8AB fox head formation sign. RHQ would have a diamond, which should be yellow as second most senior regt in the Bde. WD numbers seem to be centred above the front of the centre bogie truck.

Thank you Robert! I've found one photo of a Sherman mk iii from the IWM collection (which I believe is the subject of one decal option in the Asuka 35018 kit) and it seems to show a dark gray WD number instead of the usual white? (Tried to upload it but it seems to not want to load). Is this normal for 24L or could it be that the number was censored and so appears darker?

I've never seen anything to suggest that grey was used so my guess is that it was the usual white covered with dust (Normandie, as you've probably noticed, is pretty dusty in summer after an armoured regiment has driven through it). Of course it could be the usual photographic factors too....

This is the photo I have of the tank in question... It looks either like the WD number is gray or it has been blurred out? any thoughts?
This is the link to the kit decals, which are depicted in gray (T-152881)...
