From the pics it looks like the helmet retaining device was moved to the right front turret side and the rear rack included in the Takom kit is not mounted.

Quoted TextAre you sure of the denomination HP?
The AA52 was only issued in 7.5mm. The AANF1 was 7.62mm and came in automatic rifle or MG versions.
Of course you're right Olivier Looks like I've mixed up specs...
H.P.
Externally any differences with the AA52 and NF1?

The 7.62mm barrel is longer and thicker.

Would the NF-1 in the Dragon set be correct then?

Jason,
the Dragon MG should be a good base but without the transport handle. If you intend to keep the handle, you should add the bipod as both features were standard for the automatic rifle version not the MG one.

Quoted TextQuoted TextThese photos bring back memories as I was billeted in 'The Globe' Hotel when we marched into Port Stanley on the day of the surrender and recall these vehicles all parked up in a line.
I look forward to seeing the kit built up and good work so far.
Gary
Thanks Gary by the data, I don´t have enough information about that time, in these years some of our soldier started to write about the campaign of Argentinian army on the Malvinas.
Hi Omar. Just to be aware, we also 'borrowed' some Mercedes jeep type Argentine Army vehicles (G Wagon?) that we used as run-arounds in the days after the war ended and all the equipment was virtually 'as new' condition. I have no recollection whether it was factory new or the equipment had been freshly painted and well serviced prior to being transported from Argentina to Port Stanley? Perhaps the historians will know?
Likewise the armoured cars in the pics were all very well maintained - no 'chipping' or rust on any of these machines!
As such, I would keep weathering on your model to a minimum ( for artistic licence) or non at all (for reality).
Good luck with the build.
Gary
Thanks Gary I will considerate your point of view

Good progress Omar and the small additions like the wires etc. make a noticeable improvement. Look forward to seeing it with the turret on!
Best regards.

A pretty nice piece of AA52 can be found in Academy French Foreign legion set. Also, old Heller figures have those mg in several sets, but Academy one is perfect. If you can't find it,send me a private message, if i could help you.
Nice work,
Marko

Omar,
Is your MG mount build on specific dimensions or existing parts from another kit or is it scratch built based on images?

Hi Jason
This points you must have to considerate:
And the other point is the sport of the MG, must be made by scratch, because the kit doesn´t bring it.-
Thanks for these notes. They sure will help me when I ever get around to this.I will be following also to see and learn anything out about this project.

Probably use only three of the four soldiers, I think the scene will be very loaded, surely the soldier who does not have the belt with the cartridge belts is out of the scene ...
