AFV Club has an excellent workable styrene set. Just two parts per link, and no fiddly pins.

AFV Club has an excellent workable styrene set. Just two parts per link, and no fiddly pins.
I would agree with the AFV tracks as best overall vis a vis price. Just be very sparing on the liquid glue, and you'll be fine.
