Looking at a couple of the maintenance pics, it appears to be whitewash over 3-color Camo. Apparently there is also a claim that she got a respray in white after repairs. That seems unlikely. Whitewash can be removed in the field. Covering white paint is another matter entirely.
What about the markings? The Dragon kit 6312 has markings that look like sharply defined black paint over white. The maintenance pics appear to be weathered markings that were painted around with whitewash, and the "314" appears to be over a multi-colored background. Did she wear different markings at different times? I have also read the Abteilung 503 had two KTs named Anneliese. Any truth to that?
I have a feeling that modelers should just find some photos and go with what they think is right...but it's not cool to put a lot of work in something and then find out you got it wrong.
Thanks. Lee

I would think that white wash could be sprayed as well?
