Hi all,
I'm trying to find out if anyone makes the FV433 Abbot 105 SPG in kit form as I used to work on them and now drive one for a friend.

cheers

There have been 3 different kits of the Abbot over the years. Two are old and out of production. The one remaining is an all-resin kit by Accurate Armour out of Scotland.

Abbot kits

Hopefully Takom will come out with one soon since they recently released an FV432 line of kits.

Hi Gino,
thanks for that info , Accurate Armour is what I would call a bit pricey side but, like you said Takom might bring out one after bring out the that old warhorse the 432.

I have 2 Nichimos' one built by my dad (his ride) & one unbuilt, bought as an unfinished project, long before Tacom announced the FV432, my intention was to restore my dad's build.

Both sets of rubber tracks long perished.

I also have 2 Takom FV432's. the parts breakdown makes it clear that they could easily replace everything above the waistline...

So only believe

After I finish some WiPs', I will take the hit & restore the Nichimo, & the CM will make Takom release the kit....

Neil, as many will confirm, the best way to get a manufacturer to make one is to scratch build one using an FV 432 base kit. About a week before you finish the build, a new full styrene kit will be announced...

This is a vehicle long overdue for a decent kit in styrene and hopefully with the evident interest in SPG's in general and artillery as well, Takom does have the intestinal fortitude to release one. Been on my wish list for decades...

Hi Jon,
Mind me asking but, where was your Dad stationed in Germany? As you said it was his ride so, he must have been a gun Bunnie at sometime in his career.

Looks like I'll have to lay my hands on a Takom kit of a 432 MK 2/1 , I can see long nights ahead for me on this one. I won't have to use any photos as I have the real thing to hand for reference .

Many thanks guys
