Hello:
I recently brought a Gunze Jagdpanzer IV. the kit can be built either L/48 or L/70 variants, but the roof and part of the mantlet (The one that is placed in the hull) for the L/48 are missing in my model.
My question is, how difficult can be do the L/48 version with the L/70 kit parts? (obviously apart for the return rollers, the mufflers and the gun).
Hope someone can help.
Best regards.

From memory, the frontal armour was thickened during the L/48 run so the L/70s all had 80mm. The shape of the inner mantlet also changed, as did the front trackguards and the gunsight arc. The L/70 also had a gun travel crutch on the glacis. Not all L/70s had the Flammentoeter exhausts - the famous KG Hansen example at Poteau had the original type, for example.
