Artitec's 1/87 (HO for model railroading) StuG G has been reviewed here: StuG Ausf. G Sturmhaubitze. Now she is complete. (Soon I'll post pix with the Schürzen attached.)

Nice quick build and I look forward to putting crew and Grenadiers onto her.

Fred, looks good, certainly no scrimping on the extra parts with this kit, stowage, extra track links, side skirts, etc. plus opening hatches.

All those different scenes you have going there, it almost looks like you've got your own miniature country set up.

Not sure what they did with nomenclature, but this is a StuH 42 to my eyes.
Afaik a Haubitze/Howitzer would not be abbreviated in a way to confuse it with a Geschütz/gun/cannon.
Sturmgeschütz = StuG -> StuG III = Sd.Kfz 142/1
Sturmhaubitze = StuH -> StuH 42 = Sd.Kfz 142/2

It is just, simply speaking, sometimes weird what manufacturers put on the box cover.

Nice job Frederick! You've done quite a notable job on finishing this little gem. Have to admit that Artitec really do a super job on their resin masterpieces. As far as I know Stef is right with his comments about the nomenclature of these vehicles. I've built a 1/72 StuH so I pretty much recognized yours as one by the looks of the barrel. And yes, Artitec unfortunately got the naming a bit off as on their Website they have it listed as "StuG III Version G assault howitzer, 1:87 resin kit". Nitpicking aside, it doesn't take away from what is an otherwise fine model attractively finished.
