I am unable to determine the color/texture of the small wheel mounted behind the drive sprocket on early Panthers. Is it steel or rubber?

Rubber wheel in early one by 1944/45 MNH started using a steel shoe. Its also not a tenisoner its to prevent the track from climbing off the in reverse. The track tenison is taken up by the rear wheel via a screw device
