I am starting to weather my TF 1-64 Abrams - beginning with the road wheels. I purchased AK's OIF wash and OIF streaking effects. I started with the OIF wash and noticed it has a reddish/brown tint. I am not sure how realistic that is.
I am wondering whether I should use the streaking effects instead, which is a greenish/dark gray color, as a wash?

Here is my try at the exact same products you mention.
I don't like over weathered vehicles but you can go way farther than I did.

I've been using the AK wash you mentioned on my OIF models and I liked it. After doing the pinwash with OIF wash, I usually make another slightly thinner wash with a bit darker color as well, just to give the model some tonal variety...

Thanks! I purchased the products based on those tutorials. The OEF wash looks more reddish brown than the brown/gray depicted. I gave the bottle a vigorous shaking. Maybe there is sentiment at the bottom of the bottle that I need to loosen. Otherwise, I think I'll just use the streaking grime as a wash.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try to experiment with mixing colors.
