"Wot, anudder panther?"

This is what is called the "better mousetrap."
Interior, all the variants in one box and months of detailed study?
And no doubt that it still won't satisfy some detail minded folks.

To review current Panther G kits, there is Dragon's and Tamiya's. Tamiya are over 20 years old and nice solid models but so lacking in finer detail. The Dragon kits are all one could hope for, but they're the only game in town. So about time someone else stepped up with an all new panther.

Dang it! And just when I decided that I have enough models and no more new kits. Well, maybe just one more....

David Byrden and Tom Cockle have noted a couple of inaccuracies in the CAD pics in the hopes they can still be fixed. The engine deck features sliding louvres on both sides instead of just the left, and there are 11 instead of 9 bolts on the turret.

Were people expecting perfection from RFM? Their Tigers still have errors according to Byrden.

We're just getting more of the same, only newer.

Yeah, I think the difference here is they had actual plans and drawings on hand but chose to misread them lol.

Well, here's hoping they haven't put cutter to steel yet and can make the needed corrections.

I think that maybe the problem with fixing the Tiger came from them giving each other "high five's" without having another set of eyes look at the CAD when they thought they were done with the Tiger - I'm sure they were excited to have completed their first project. It wasn't perfect, but all in all I thought it came out pretty good for a first attempt, especially with an interior. That's like HKM and their damn 1/32 Flying Fortress (I have one!).

I guess RFM felt they could not make the corrections to the mold for whatever reason, so it is what it is.

No matter, if they can short their $4!+ out, I will more than likely buy one even with having a Dragon D, A, and G in my stash, and a G on the shelf.

Yep I have a few Panthers too. I can live with the bolts but the engine deck thing is a bit of a problem. Actually I would love to use the turret as a visible pantherturm. A costly fantasy!😂

This is a unique idea. For those who want to see how it all goes together through the walls. I suppose I might have a go at this one in order to have a feel for what is packed into those other Panthers. I hope RFM does great with sales on this one. Personally, they have been very kind to me, sending me the Tiger with the full interior just for helping them with a few marketing questions regarding CENSORED. It was a big day when it arrived, around Christmas when the package delivery companies were at full swing and our house full of people who were quite impressed with the kindness of the folks at RFM.

Does anyone know if the clear hull/turret is really a limited bonus and that they're going to release after that with normal grey (?) hulls & turrets? Seems kind of dumb if they do -or is this another attempt at the contemptible "collectors' market"?

And what do they mean when they say "Up to twenty multiple-choice designs"? Was it something that got lost in the translation? I've got no idea on that one. Still want one of the kits, though...

All you guys crying about a few extra (or less) bolts should find another hobby - like collecting rocks, or something!

They're probably counting every single option, no matter how small separately. Marketing. Gotta love hyperbole.
