I remember seeing an engine paint set, before. I believe it was acrylic. I know of the weathering se, train sets, aircraft engine sets and civil engine set, but this was for military ground vehicles. It included "metal base"(I think). It was not black, but a grey/silver tone. Am I off my rocker or does this set exist?

AK does one too. AK087 “Engines & Metal Weathering Set”. Includes the Dark Steel pigment, that might be the one you’re thinking of.

Thank you for the replies. But, I'm not looking for a weathering set. I may just go, with buy one of each color I may use, gloss black, and mix to taste. The pigments I have covered.

On the AMMO site look under the metallics and in the discription of the colors it says engine part. Some parts are metallic.

Strange. I looked all over the site and didn't see anything, with the description of "engine part".

In the description. And you need to know the engine block colors different colors for different armies. AMMO's INTERIOR COLORS: GERMAN TANKS has the color for germaan WWII engines. The metallic colors would be for engine accessories.

Now, I see where you look for "engine". Thank you much, Patrick.

I am interested in German WWII and Soviet engines. I have no clue as to the color of US engines.
