I am reminded of a joke I heard on the radio about a G. I. Joe doll in a box marked "G I Joe: A Real American Hero"...and also it said "Made in Taiwan".

the first one only lists the Hassenfeld Bros, Pawtucket rhode island address

second on lists 'printed in the british crown colony of hong kong" one the back cover with a jeep captioned "Kaiser jeep corporation" with the R trademark symbol.

I bought a Sherman tank once which was built in china. guess that was funny, too.
