I am planning to start a Panther G about Febuary. Which would you recommend? Are their any about to be released that might make a difference? I am not doing an interior and aftermarket tracks are OK if it makes a difference.

Rye Field is about to release a new G in January, but it does have an interior (of course, you don't have to put it in). Meng and Takom are about to release some new A's, so otherwise you are probably limited to Dragon which isn't a problem unless you aren't that into Dragon kits. Their Panthers are very good, especially the last few releases and they have some with zimmerit molded on if that helps.
Dragon 6384 is a G with zimmerit. Drawback for some are the DS tracks, but you said you were okay with AM on those.
Also have:
6267 Early
6268 Late
6370 Steel Wheels
6659 Late (6268 with bonus figures pretty much)

There are some Tamiya Panther G that are smooth builds but they are 1990's kits. They lack the finesse and ultra detail of the Dragon kits which are pretty definitive.

Thanks, I have a Dragon early A model and it's a great kit. With the explosion of new manufacturers and kits I was unsure if there was something even better in the works. Rye has the G with the interior coming out and I wonder if the exterior is better than the Dragon kit. I am courious about it if the cost is similar to Dragon.
