Those buildings look great.
I've been working on a fish market diorama using the Italeri dock and a bunch of 1/32 Aoshima and Fujimi sets.
I haven't gotten the dock with stairs yet, any problems cutting open the dock to fit the stair parts?

What a great idea. I like the old man sitting on the steps. He needs a dog and a fishing pole.
I'm following this one.

Lookin' good Tom,a couple of questions:
Any ideas as to the whereabouts this may be ?
...and how wide is your "On the Waterfront" layout ?

Thanks guys,
Have some updates ,but the photos didn't turn up well.
Try to get some later.
Jerry,I do tend to do a lot of figures and I don't know why.
I'm not good at them.It just seems all my dio's need them.

I like how much action you manage to fit in such a smallish space with all of your work.

Thanks guys,
Love the idea of seagulls.
Outside shots when the temperature here gets above bitter cold.
I'll wake that guy up for the finish.

Hi Tom - looking great as your builds always do! I really like the different elevations - nice! And like Tim said, lots of people and activity - give it a very convincing look.
Now - we need to wait for a nice sunny day!
Cheers

Thanks Nick,
I seem to get carried away with the figures and I don't know why because I'm not real good at the painting.
Almost done.Weathering vehicles today.Starting to glue things down.
Really like the idea of Seagulls, but can't seem to find them.
Anyone one know?
Tom

Tom,
Love what your doing with this. You've inspired me to start searching for some of those dockside elements myself! Looking forward to the finish.

Well Tom keep getting carried away with your peoples, it works for us! As for seagulls, two ideas (1) farmyard chickens pared down (2) Ask Jerry. Come to think of it Maarten might be in the market for his amazing U-boat pen dio.
OK with the sun you’ve got a reasonable excuse at that latitude! How about Daylight globes/bulbs? The best one I ever had was an non-eco-correct “blue light” from (of all things) an Embroiderers emporium, it lasted for years & meant I could trust colours mixed/painted in the evenings, as well as photography.
