First time I’ve seen this Hummer conversion and it looks reasonably impressive. There are some good shots of the vehicle in Afghanistan. Are there good Danish figures available?

I built 56 humvee models, but I have not seen the BD Julkåt conversion. Can you show a photo? I have a few photos from Afghanistan

For us who read and speak Swedish there is a rather amusing spelling mistake in the quoted post
Especially considering the season ....

Hey
Facebook article about the Julkat, How it was made, first cardboard, and wood, load testing the vehicle, and using the
vehicle in Denmark, and Afghanistan.
Maybe you can Google translate the Danish article.

Interesting vehicle. If it was Legend or Live Resin conversion I would be very tempted.

I’m really plesently pleased with this offer - I’ve really hoped for one for some time. I’ve already preordered one.
It’s not without some issues though judging by the pictures. I’ve never done service in one, however I’m a member of a preservation group with one, and thus have some insight to it. Based on this I can point some issues. The lmg mount is all wrong, the roof in front of the gun turret need to be angled differently, the gun turret seems a bit off and the gear, as well as the spare wheel, are not Danish. It also seem to miss some internal things.
Never mind I’ll be looking forward to this.

That's an interesting conversion and being mostly open, should offer lots of opportunities to load it with guns and gear.

Hey Kjeld,
How’re you? Do the colours you list in the paint set cover what would be needed to model a Leopard 2A5DK deployed in Afghanistan?
Thanks!

Hey Greg
I am fine, been out of the army for 3 years now, (after 40 years service). Now i got a lot of time to make some tank models.
You can paint your models in Danish green/black for Europe,
or ISAF sand/Brown/green, or the combat school sand/brown,
so this Hataka pain set should be fine for Danish vehicles
after 1980. Yes it is fine for our Leopard2A5, and soon for
the uprated Leopard2A7.

Hey Alex
No. i dont know any other paints you can use out of the
bottle as modern Danish camo colours, i have done my own
mix with Tamiya XF57 Buff, or Humbrol 121 stone, i dont
remember what brown i used. I just know that vehicles used
in Afghanistan / Iraq, only keep their parade ground finish
for a very short time. Some of the vehicle used in combat
looked like a moving Beduin camp, with bit of pieces of Barracuda
camo net around the vehicle.
Best regards

Anyone have pictures of the chassis? I think that there is an additional armor there.
