I may be mistaken, but I thought NATO countries had a standard jerry can type. It looks like the US WWII can, but only has 1 bar in the handle, not 3. It's also made out of plastic.

Excellent! Don't know how I missed those pics. Interesting to see the one vehicle carrying both types, and the cans appear to be sprayed with a camp pattern as well.
now that I know they are a NATO standard pattern I did a search for that and of course came up with a ton of info...
I've done a quick comparison of WWII German Jerry cans and they are almost identical, so I can use some of those that are in my stash.
I've finished assembling the Trumpeter uparmoured C1 Ariete and it has a huge rear turret bustle that is begging to be filled with stuff.
