Does anyone know if the collabsible fuel drums or fuel bladders survived the crash of Verlinden Productions and might be available someday´s. I speak of course of the 1/35 scale one. I found recently that these drum could be transported with PLS/LHS systems.

They may have, there was a conversation on Facebook during the late summer about the Verlinden line by people in a position to know. I don't want to go into detail on the board since the conversation was in a closed group on Facebook.

Try searching on eBay. There is a lot of Verlinden product still available on that site from small sellers. Good luck!

Do you have any pics of this set-up? I didn't think we still used these. I recently acquired a set and could use them w/my PLS.

Found a pic on DVIDS site. These are drums for potable water, but shouldn`t make a big difference in 1/35 scale.
Here you go...

They released both 1/35 and 1/48 sets.
The 1/35 set is #386. It contains only one fuel drum, the pump, filter, hose, fittings, and dry transfer markings.
The 1/48 set is #454 and includes two drums and the rest of the above items.

Ah, the coveted Verlinden 1/35 Collapsible Field Re-Fueling set.
I have a couple of the 1/35 sets stashed away for an Aussie Vietnam Centurion Mk.5/1 diorama.

These are far better looking than Verlinden's old offering:

ah yes the good old blivit! There were two or three sizes used in the sixties, and they came with either brass or stainless steel valves on the end. Fuel bladders were always brass! Water could be either one. Then there was a shut off valve the was attached after landing on the ground. Half the time it was lost. Fuel drums also had a hose that would fit onto the bladder. Most tanks had the hose stored in their gear somewhere. You'd die if you knew how the got the diesel fuel into the gas tank!

Aside from my latest post somewhat answering H-H's question with a whole new, better product, why does it bother you that it's an old post? These new blivets are much nicer, have metal inserts, and come with decals rather than the dry transfers that Verlinden had to provide two sets of because they anticipated people having problems with them. Perhaps like others I should just continue to create new threads every time a though pops into my head...
At any rate, Milan is sending mine this week, so I guess they're available after all,

Many years ago I used the Verlinden set in 1/48 in a diorama with a Huey by Esci.

Really? Not about me? I guess that was someone else who resurrected this old thread. Nice try. I guess you and your Bobbsey twin like throwing the same tired phrases around. Oh, have a nice evening.

Again, not what I was commenting about in my first post, or what I reiterated in my second post, so I still can't understand why you engaged me, but I'm glad you got to feel included.

Apparently they're not. Apparently the custodian of the masters decided that they weren't worth re-releasing. That was my comment your snarky response references, nowhere did I say that the line was coming back. At the time I was aware who had the masters, that they were in good hands and safe (not in a landfill as rumored) and being evaluated to determine which were going to economically worth re-releasing. I didn't have any input into those decisions, I was factually reporting what I had seen (and anyone else who was a member of that group as well). Your knowledge base is great, Kurt and you're willing to share it and I'm sure you're a decent person but there are times when you come across as a jerk on line. This is one of them.

So pointing out an acknowledged fact makes me a jerk?
To my knowledge none of the ex-Verlinden stuff has re-emerged. It is not getting better physically or relative to newer competing and superseding products as time goes on. I doubt we'll ever see their items again. Is it wrong to say that?

Agreed.
There is a wide gulf in meaning and certainty between "saying the line was coming back" and what I actually wrote:". . . . hinting - in 2018 - that the Verlinden set may re-appear." A hint is not a commitment or firm statement; "may" is a statement of mere possibility. A suggestion of a possibility, in other words. Doesn't that match what you said in 2018 pretty well?

A lot of people online - and don't take this as directed at you, John - do something useful 1% of the time and are moronic 99% of the time, so I guess for most folks in the audience we average out in the end.

I believe I’ve read somewhere selected Verlinden Items are being re-released, but can’t remember who’s doing it. I do know Sprue Brothers has cornered the Verlinden market with over 500 items in their catalog, including the 1/48 Blivet set, which is currently in stock:

I remember being on the using end of these temporary “gas stations“ more than once.
