Nope, not yet. I'm waiting for the M3A1 version. Cool kits. With possible M5's and M8's to follow...hmmm. :-)

Thx Jeff for the heads-up on the 'Honey'. Looks like another winner from Academy. They really are doing a fine job after their 'copy-cat' days.
Looks like another kit to add to the 'to get' list! :-)
Tread.
P.S. I especially like the mention of M8 parts included, since I have a D-Day landing M8 with wading trunks (or 'fording stacks' as they were officially called) in mind. :-)

I just read the article. Nice looking kit. Do all new Academy kits come with the two options for the tracks?

Yes this one heck of a kit and the tracks look like that they are as good as AFV club. Just can't wait for the M41 from AFV club either.

This may be a new trend, their M-18 Hellcat was released a second time with link & vinyl tracks, Trumpeter also started doing it with the M1A1/A2 series tanks. I for one, like the option.

The only price I have seen on the 'Honey' so far is 2400 yen. I think it's yen, it's the Y with the 2 lines through it.
This kit has 274 parts for the tank itself, 425 for the tracks ( remember, 3 pieces for each block ), 2 vinyl tracks and a bit of string. A lot of parts for such a small vehicle. Too bad I already have the craptacular Tamiya kit and the Verlinden Stuart/Honey conversion set, eh?

The Tamiya kit requires new tracks, they made thehumongous error of casting the end connectors onto the same link. AFV, and Accurate Armour both do a fine replacement set.

I had a $7.00 credit for affiliate links with Internet Hobbies (www.internethobbies.com) from when I first set up the site and had links going to there. I have subsequently removed them because of complaints of poor customer service from them (I wasn't willing to link Armorama to a poor-service e-retailer). Anyways I used that to order the Honey from there for only $19! The $7 covered the shipping. I will let you all know if I get it in a timely manner.
Can't beat that.

It should be a good kit. I've done a few of academy's newer kits and they are surprisingly good. I just hope they don't make the mistake of making it too expensive!!

LOL.....doc, do you mind if I steal your excellent descriptive word....'craptacular'? Just love it......

BTW, just checked at both my local hobby shop, and one about an hour away....no dice. They don't have the 'Honey' yet. And if the 'Honey''s quality is anything like their Tiger's .....that's good news.

Wait a minute.....I don't think that came out right. I meant that the Honey should be a goodie if it's anything like their recent Tiger release........there.

'craptacular' is a word that Bart Simpson uses.

Just a note to those not too familiar with the British M3 Honey...for starters no turret basket. One comes in the kit apparently so don't use it. I haven't seen much of the kit yet but I am hoping to fix that soon.
