Purchased this kit recently but I am having difficulty deciding how to load my m1083 armor cab from Trumpeter.
I do not want to add artillery rounds or simply barrels and containers.
Any good ideas?

You could make it a guntruck with the Black Dog set.
You could put nothing in the back and cover it all up using two of the Tank Workshop M1078 LMTV canvases mated together.
Other than that, I don't have any unique load ideas. Their usual cargo is boxes, crates, ammo, and troops. Being a cargo truck, it can/does carry almost anything.

Hi Nikos,
lots of possiblities out there. Take some Pallets, be it EURO Pallets or US 40x48 and put on whatever you like. Maybe some tires, tank ammo or MRE boxes. MR Modellbau has two sets of modern plastic boxes, often seen as truck load these days.
Cheers

No kidding, watched soldiers unloading these on exercise some years ago. The days of the "Donnerbalken" have long since been gone. Frenchy, maybe someone could invent a smellmodule for this? :-)

Thank you for the answers.
I have already started a similar project, a M198 early with a M925 truck (Italeri kit plus Legend aftermarket goodies). That is why I did not want to add artillery rounds on the m1083.
I was thinking about it, but I have to buy 3-4 of those . Just 1 will mean that I still have to fill up the rest of free space too.
That is a good suggestion, they will look nice.

That was one fo my first options, but I have been unable to find any photos showing a vehicle with the unit mounted. Only a modelling project on another sit I think.

I am not interested in the guntruck conversion (not many guns actually).
The canvas cover is a good idea, will think of it.
As a general notice, my main concern is that I often see models with loadouts that undermine the ammount of work and quality of the model, simply by being a neatly placed row of barrels and boxes with some troop gear also neatly stacked behind or ontop of them.
