Did Fallschirmjager units have tactical markings like Heer and SS ones? I can't find anything either way.

Except for "Hermann Goering" div, I think Fallschirmjager units were supported by either independent battalions, or an adjacent panzer unit (as in Normandy), and were marked accordingly. Soft skins would probably have WL (Luftwaffe) licence plates.

The Ramcke Brigade in North Africa had a shield-shaped unit marking. Presumably the Luftwaffe field divisions had unit insignia for their transport vehiclesDid Fallschirmjager units have tactical markings like Heer and SS ones? I can't find anything either way.

I think the "R in the diamond" symbol is supposed to represent a kite. I think I read that somewhere. Of course, it's not a tactical marking. Interesting query..now I have to go look lol. Ramcke seems to not have much in the way of tac markings. I did see some vehicles with an "8" on the lower right of the "kite". A company formation number perhaps? One picture had several Fiat trucks all with the no.8 on the left fender. The scorpion logo *not to be confused with the other WL scorpion* appears to have been stenciled on some vehicles. I believe Star Decals make a fairly decent sheet that includes these. I can't remember but I thought FJ RSOs had tac markings. Hazy memory lol!

I have the "R Kite" emblem on it. Was wondering if they had anything to designate a recon unit, or unit HQ, comms, whatever.

Few photos I've found are from North Africa and appear to be just the (then) brigade emblem. Stuff I'e found for France are vehicles hiding under jagern.
