I've seen a company that makes this conversion for trumpeter bmp 2 but for the life of me I can't remember.Any help would help a lot.

Another option is to use the T-62 slat from Voyager (PEA170), modifying it to fit the kit. I have seen a few builds with it done for Ukr. Army T-64 tanks.
At least you don't have to suffer through aligning the slats. Naturally, having good references is paramount...

While not the same AFV, I've tried the slat armor with thin wire- the prototype,:
and my version, which is really bar armor:
and with some paint:
For this, I stuck with evergreen and wire - but, on another, I mixed parts from other set to try this out, first the real thing:
and my version:
and with some paint:
Like a lot of model building, patience goes a long way. Believe it or not, I found drilling out the stanchions in a uniform pattern not easy or at all fast to do - but the results look good to me!

That was my thought,I have some that will be left over from a project I'm working on now with my T-55.I'm going to a little bar armor as well for the front and tie it into the Slat armor on the side.Ordering some things as we speak.
