My father was stationed in Germany during the Korean War in a unit that used M25s. I have the Tamiya Dragon Wagon kit and it looks fabulous. The M24 looks very very close to what dad's outfit used but I need to update the M15 trailer to an M15A.
I have seen a couple of threads on M15As and see that there is a conversion kit from Real Model for the trailer. Does anyone in the U.S. still have that for sale? Or are there other alternatives now?
The M24 I hope to do has dual mirrors but otherwise looks about the same as the Tamiya kit. Any experts know if there are other changes I should consider?
Here is the specific M25, Hard Hearted SN598038. I have other photos but am having trouble uploading them.
What colors should the chevron stripes on the front bumper be, yellow and black?
Are the wheel rims a different color or do they just reflect light differently. They seem lighter from all angles.
The front bumper has 2 "delta" 1240 or 2 delta 124-0 along with HQ62. Can anyone help me decode this so I can research the unit?
I wish I could ask dad these questions but I waited too long.
Thank you all so much for the help!

Yellow and black should be a plausible option. See this M26A1 :
"2" + "triangle" = 2nd Armored Division "Hell On Wheels"
I guess "124" could mean 124th Armored Ordnance/Maintenance Battalion. This unit HQ Company was stationned in Foch Kasern (Bad Kreuznach), the A Co. in Coleman Barracks (Sandhofen), B Co. in Mangin Kasern (Gonsenheim), and C Co. in Smith Barracks (Baumholderin) in 1952...

The Real Model M15A1 conversion leaves a lot to be desired. It has some of the obvious changes that you could see at arm's length with a tank on the deck, but it is missing a lot and is simplified.
The rims were probably painted.
2 "delta" 1240 or 2 delta 124-0 along with HQ62 is probably
2nd Armored Division
124th Armored Ordnance Maintenance Bn (Marking is O not 0)
HQ Company
Vehicle serial 62
There were several variations of that last group.

He's making an approximation of an M15-series trailer. It is not close enough to use as a reference.

Thank you Kurt for the decoding!
At $135 Euros I may just try my own hand at building something that looks close enough to an M15A1.
