Bought this and it arrived today. It was cheap and I thought it could be made into something interesting. It is kit # 1075....for a British Austin truck or maybe its a Austin 2K1 #:-)
Anyways ... its the 4 sides (square) and a rounded roof. Everything has to be cut out and all details added. Pretty useless actually.
Now what I will need to know is ...... what do I do with it? There is absolutely no information with it .... not even what kit it is a conversion for. Are there any 1/35 austin trucks out there?
Any tips (apart from using it as a frisbee) on the kit(?) or air press models would be appreciated? Im thinking its some sort of control or radio vehicle.
Thanks in advance!

Although I'm no WW2 softskins expert, I think that's a conversion for a Canadian-made Chevy truck (CMP) not an Austin. And a radio truck is a good bet (I think.....).

Let's wait for the answer from Those Who Know....

Agreed - it looks like a conversion for the Italeri kit to me...

Thanks very much for your quick answers guys. When I saw the advertisemant ... it looked interesting. The picture above is everything that came with it, as far as instructions and information. The kit is a thin sheet of plastic ... slighly vacuformed for the roof shape. Scribed markings outline windows and doors, but no hinges or anything else.
Coincidently, the Italeri chevy truck is now on the same site ... and I compared it to the drawing ... and I believe you are both right. Hopefully theres not too much interest in it and I can get it cheap.

Whats the difference between this Italeri truck and the tamiya Quad? Could the quad be used instead .... I believe the tamiya quad comes with engine and hopefully some other extras that could dress this up. Any thoughts? Was there any aftermarket for the Italeri chevy or tamya quad that would be suitable?

go to the gallery. AFV. Ref pics look at roo/'s truck archive and then CMP and 13 cab. There you will see heaps of ref pics. It indeed is a CMP radio truck body for the Italeri 13 cab15cwt kit. The Tamiya Quad kit is not suitable unless you wish to scratch build a lot of the cab and I have never seen a wireless truck on that type of chassis.

hope this helps

OK I was wrong but this pic is the only one I have got and it is a radio body on a 3 tonner chassis not a 15cwt.

just thought about what a job it would be to put all those rivits on the sides of the last posts pics. #:-)
