Now that I've built the THAAD launcher, I'd like to gen up a crew for it to match the SCUD and crew it sits opposite of. Does anyone know how big the crew is and which 1/35 figure set would be good? I do understand that it's part of a larger THAAD site which would have a substantial crew to run.

David,
Sorry, I don't have any crew ideas. I'm not gutsy enough to attempt figures.
You're talking about Trumpeter's THAAD? Do you have any pics posted anywhere? I just got the kit this week (a massive kit, for sure!), and I'd love to see what you did with it.
Thanks!
Gary

Yes, it was Trumpeter's THAAD. I posted my pics in the Trumpeter Mk 4 campaign thread. Beware of the decals! They are riddled with spelling errors!

The crew would look like any other, current US Army Soldiers in UCP (digital gray camo) or OCP (woodland-style camo) uniforms.

Thanks, Gino. Looks like about 2-3 guys around the launcher would be good.

Aww, she looks pretty, David! I'm glad I asked about it. (How did you get it done so quickly -- did you buy it from China?)
And I did notice some decals were messed up...AGAIN! (The HEMTT had some doozies too.) I think the one I saw was HAZARD OUS or something like that. I get that English is not their first language, but things like that are important. If you're going to make sure the parts are molded correctly or that the correct version is represented, then you should make sure the markings are correct as well. They could send them to me to check. I'd only ask for a free kit in return!
