Sweeet!!! Thanks for sharing.

And a gun barrel too... Challengers have been neglected by after market companies with the exception of Accurate Armor.

Great news! What scale?1/35?What is the cost and distributor of that company? For years only Cromwell models provided this conversion with all the known problems and web discussions held!If this will be provided in reasonable price from several shops it will be for sure a winner

Cromwell Models produced a resin conversion for the Challenger 2 TES with Barracuda back in 2011. It was then re-released by Cast Off Models several years ago.

You can read my review here...

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/6411

You can also find track sets, PE sets, and resin road wheel sets all for the Challenger 2 from various aftermarket producers.

Bearing in mind that "Megatron" is a single demonstrator vehicle belonging to the Armoured Trials And Development Unit and is not representative of an in-service configuration. Although I guess that by leaving some bits off it could be made so: the OWS for example.

Perhaps the new company is unaware of this. As it's a single unique vehicle there is no excuse for omitting something as fundamental as the Barracuda: it must be modelled exactly or not at all.

Any news about the conversion? Any shop selling it?

Someone was asking about this recently? There is also the Castoff option, too.

Cromwell option is not an option as far as we have read in the past because of very bad customer service as well as the fact that the molds might not be available anymore! Some of Cromwell molds were reproduced by Castoff with much more better customer service! Is Castoff still in business?I thought that Terry stopped recasting!

Upon reading this post, I checked Castoff. While I didn't place an order, the site looks to be up and running. The Megatron conversion is available to order.

This link might provide some insight:
https://sites.google.com/site/castoffmodels/system/app/pages/recentChanges
Last activity on the site was in July 2015, three years ago ...
The link to Facebook on the links page goes to an error message ...

I wouldn't get my hopes up too much .....

Unfortunately i think that Terry left business some years ago according to an older thread in this section back in 2017!This means that oxmodel conversion is the only player in town but no update after the article in the beginning of the topic!

The CR2 currently on exercise in Oman have the OWS and much less Barracuda. And no additional skirt armour except along the very bottom. So the kit may not be as unrepresentative as suggested and may prove to be useful for service vehicles.

Castoff is no longer in business.

Both moulds for the Challenger 2 Barracuda and Wrap 2 Barrauda conversion for Warrior are locations unknown at this point.
