Hi all
It's been a while since last post, but here's my latest finished Work.
It's the Dragon kit, which I made into a wreck, by removing some parts and making/scraching others.
It's suposed to depict a wreck located in the out skirts of a larger AFV dump somewhere in Europe. The war has been over at least for some years, and locals have salvaged a good part of the useful stuff.
Hope you like it and do comment.

Jacob- I have to say that this vignette is superb. The composition is really well done. I really like how you have one piece of railroad track to infer space beyond the confines of the base. The colors are nicely done and infer that the vehicle has been sitting there for a few years being "picked at" by the locals. Also the old man having back problems fits very well into the whole scene giving it a sense of humanity. Great Job!

A darned nice little vignette Jacob ! I like the figure, "Oh my aching back" comes to mind looking at him. I also like the use of the railroad track to fill the corner, very original !
Thank you for sharing !

Very nice! Tells a nice and clear story, as the best dioramas do.

Breathtaking Jacob, this is a work of art on the smallest of bases. If it doesn’t have a title how about “Decay” – the corroding Marder, the autumn leaves, the disused rail line…even the man’s back muscles! And beyond that are the suggestions: of the surrounding area containing other wrecks via the Mk III/IV sprocket; of the distant past’s final combat via the shell-holes; and of the resourcefulness of locals re-purposing what’s left, via the missing components and scavenger…
…and if that wasn’t enough, the rust is perfectly restrained. That 5th photo from the top is a masterpiece on its own.

Martin: That's a good tittle. I've thought of something like "One last victim" or something in that direction. Thanks for all the nice comments.

All fit very well.
And where have you been Frank? LOL
I still have all of that info you posted so many years back on doing bases.
Cheers

Hi Frank
It was great talking to you in Malmö back in October. I actually worked with some of the many advises you gave me back then, which I hope you can see in this build.
Unfortunately you'll have to wait to see it in the flesh until next year, since I only go to C-4 every other year, sorry
Take care
Jacob
